The Rotary

The Rotary is a tabletop handset that pairs over Bluetooth to an iPhone or Android and takes over calls from it, up to two paired phones at a time. The dial is decorative: dialing is done with push buttons in a vintage silhouette with brass accents, and pressing * calls up Siri or Google Assistant. It measures 5.7 x 5.7 x 6.7 inches and includes a handset on a woven curly cord. A 2,000mAh battery charges over USB-C and holds about five hours of talk time or 30 days on standby. Setup takes a few minutes. It comes in Midnight Black and Snow White, and requires a paired smartphone to work.

Calling grandma becomes something a kid walks over to and picks up, rather than something that requires borrowing your phone and then handing it back. Small heads up: the rotary dial is just for looks with buttons to press. Doubles as something you could use as well to get off your phone more.
