Woodland Building Set

An open-ended construction set of 27 pieces: 18 slit tubes, each 70mm tall with a groove cut down one side, and 9 walkways 340mm long that slide into the grooves. Because a walkway locks in at any point on a tube, a child works out span, balance, and what a structure will carry by testing it rather than by following a plan. Nothing depicts anything, so the same pieces are a forest house one day and a bridge the next, and the child supplies the meaning both times. The wood is European and sustainably sourced, colored with water-based dyes and finished with vegetable-origin wax and oils. Made in Spain.

Most blocks at this age only stack one on top of another. These have a slit cut down the side, so a walkway wedges in at any height and stays.
