Ticket to Ride

Alan R. Moon's train game, first published in 2004. Players collect colored train cards and spend them to claim routes across a map of North America, racing to finish secret destination tickets. The 2025 refresh adds three tickets, bigger cards with clearer colorblind symbols, and new art. 2 to 5 players, 30 to 60 minutes, with 225 plastic trains.

A modern family classic that's easy enough to teach an eight-year-old in one round and still fun for the adults at the table.
